Reach For The Moon In NYC
New York City Moonset – The moon is setting by the New York City lower Manhattan skyline, while the sun begins to rise during the twilight hour. Viewed from Brooklyn Bridge Park, with One World Trade Center (WTC) along other skyscrapers in the Financial District and Battery Park section of NYC.
Although I would’ve liked to have had the opportunity to photograph the Blood Moon along with first Total Eclipse of the moon for 2015, is was not possible due to my location on the east coast.
But, I was content to be able to capture the full moon rising by the George Washington Bridge, on the evening following the moon event I missed earlier that morning. My “Reach For The Moon In New York City (NYC)” image above was an added bonus the morning after which was the celebration of Easter Sunday.
The full moon in all is glory was setting while the sun had just started to clear the horizon. It was a beautiful sunrise as well that morning.. So…. all in all, it was a win win situation.
