The autumnal equinox has arrived and almost like clock work the beautiful colors of autumn begin to emerge in the landscape. The image above that includes the Bear Mountain suspension bridge in the Hudson Valley area of Stony Point was made exactly six days after the first day of fall.

With temperatures nearing the 90’s last weekend the area was packed with visitors. I suspect that with the colder temperatures approaching our area this week the fall foliage will be at its peak very soon.

Living in the northeast might be a bit tough for some, due to the unforgiving winters we sometimes have to endure. But, one of the perks we get is the variety the different seasons bring to us, which in my opinion gives us a better appreciation when our favorite one begins to roll in.

Personally… for me the fall season is one of my favorites. Mostly due because of the beautiful vibrant colors it provides us with.
