Fenway Park and Boston Skyscrapers
Photographs from our recent photo tour meet-up at Fenway Park in Boston, MA. The sepia and color version images below are of an upper view from State Street Pavilion to Fenway Park located at 4 Yawkey Way. Fenway Park is home to Mayor League Baseball American Eastern Division Boston Red Sox. Also seen in the images background are some of Boston’s iconic Landmarks, like the Prudential Tower, 111 Huntington Ave, the John Hancock Tower and other skyscrapers.
The park’s address was originally 24 Jersey Street. In 1977, the section of Jersey Street nearest the park was renamed Yawkey Way in honor of longtime Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey, and the park’s address is now 4 Yawkey Way. Fenway Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in the Spring of 2012 when they celebrated their 100th anniversary.
Despite the fact that I am a proud die hard New York Yankees fan and the rivalry that has existed between both teams for years… I have to say it was a wonderful experience to photograph alongside some terrific photographers this more than a century year old ballpark. We were welcomed at Fenway Park Stadium and made to feel like we were right at home.
