The Empire State Building is the beacon to Manhattan.  It’s one of the most photographed skyscrapers in the world. Although I have been photographing it for quite a number of years now, I never seem to get enough of the electrifying view the New York City skyline provides with the Empire State Building.

I have consistently seen and photographed the never ending changes in this urban landscape.  One of the latest recent changes has been the new computerized led light installation at the Empire State Building.

This new incredible LED  light system which is unique to the ESB, gave New Yorkers a gift this holiday season with its first-ever Christmas light show series.  The Christmas light show which included dancing, flickering and changing colors was synchronized to holiday music and anyone watching was able to listen live by tuning in to 106.7 Lite FM.

Videos can be viewed by visiting the ESBNYC You Tube page.  The daily colors of the iconic landmark is dictated by their schedule which can be viewed by visiting the official site of the Empire State Building Tower Light Schedule.

For the last day of this year,  the tower and antenna lighting will be Festive Multi-Color Sparkle Lighting, in celebration of New Year’s Eve.  It will not only be enjoyed by New Yorkers but for New Jerseyan’s as well as by the millions of tourist that will be present in the Big Apple waiting to ring in 2014.

As a native New Yorker I feel fortunate to live in the same neighborhood in New Jersey for the past 27 years, with a great view to the Empire State Building.  We will celebrate the beginning of 2014, with a view to the show, but in the comfort and warmth of our home.

Brrrr… It is suppose to be very cold tomorrow and snow is predicted for later this week.  That said, it has never stopped the millions of people that gather in Times Square to watch the ball drop and countdown the New Year.
