Architecture HDR Photography Workshop

We are pleased to announce a one day private photography workshop in the beautifully adorned and colorful Romanesque Architectural style churches which form 3 of the 5 original churches of the Parish of the Resurrection, located in Jersey City, NJ. The churches date back to the 1800’s and are filled with glorious colors, fascinating architecture and intricate details. A couple of the 5 churches have already been forced to close their doors, leaving only Saint Bridgett’s, Saint Mary’s and Saint Michael’s with open doors.

We have been granted special permission to privately photograph the interiors of the 3 churches. Our group will have exclusive access during our workshop and the use of tripods will be allowed.

The number of participants will be limited and it will be broken down into three small groups. Each group will have one hour and a half to photograph per location. The small group & well organized photo workshop will ensure participants will be able to maximize their shooting potential. The small groups will be rotated in order to cover all three venues. The churches are all located in very close proximately to each other.

The locations are perfect for High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography as well as single exposures. You will be able to photograph the inside wide views not only from the ground floors but from the upper levels as well. The churches are filled with a vast amount of vintage details that are great for closeups and macro photography. Each church is filled with striking colorful stained glass windows that despite their age still depict it’s original splendor. The arches in the architecture create dynamic symmetrical compositions. We will also have the opportunity to photograph the churches exterior architecture.
