East meets West Photography Workshop

East meets West Photography Workshop

Ever wanted to photograph beautiful horses running through fields and meadows? This is your opportunity to join Susan Candelario and Betty Wiley for a special afternoon workshop photographing horses and riders running through fields during late fall when trees and grasses have turned glorious shades of gold and red.

We have been granted access to a horse ranch in western New Jersey where there are Arabian and quarter horses of all colors. Late fall was chosen because the weather will be nice and cool and we should have the warm colors of autumn and the distant mountain ranges as a backdrop. Riders will be dressed in western garb complete with cowboy boots and chaps and participants will have opportunities to photograph the riders mounted on their horses as well as riding through the fields. Creative shots of western tack (bridles, saddles, lasso ropes, boots) will also be possible. In addition, horses with beautiful flowing manes and tails (without their riders) will be photographed running in an open field. After the photography session, Susan and Betty will guide workshop participants through creative post-processing steps.
