Saint Mary’s is the 3rd and last Church in the series I photographed as part of my Church Photography assignment a couple of weeks ago. Saint Mary’s Church is also part of the Parish of the Resurrection and is located in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was built in 1861. The Italian and Irish craftsmanship is evident through out the Church. The intricate tiles and stained glass windows as well as the ceiling of the church depict what I believe to be a Romanesque style Architecture.

I did create images of details and with some creative settings as well. I also processed  a few with different styles that appealed to me personally.  But for commercial purposes these standard compositions and pp is what was requested.

All of my HDR (high dynamic range) images above consist of 7 exposures at 1 2/3 stop exposure compensation difference. I tone-mapped the exposures using Unified HDR Expose 2. I applied the White Neutralizer filter and a bit of the Tonal Contrast filter in NIK Color Efex 4. The White Neutralizer filter is a great quick fix for removing a color cast.  In the case of these images I had a yellow cast in the white walls produced by the tungsten lighting inside the Church.
