The City That Never Sleeps

Times Square, NYC, HDR

HDR photograph of Times Square in New York City (NYC) during the rain. The energy of the city that never sleeps is electrifying. For and in memory to my Dad.! Miss you and love more each day but your always in my heart and mind.  Tonemapped with Photomatix Pro 4.0 and further enhanced in Adobe Photoshop CS5 Topaz Adjust and De-Noise Plugins. © 2011 Susan Candelario SDC Phtography

Yesterday’s rain seemed like a perfect excuse to go back into the city and do an HDR image of Times Square.  Clarence had talked to me about it previously and when I went in the morning to my Facebook phone app I saw a post from NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Users) and HDR Guru RC Concepcion from a Times Square HDR image from the night before  and that was the added motivation I needed. I called Clarence and of course he was gain. It was great fun hanging out in the city with my family and  good friend and photographer Clarence Holmes.

The bonus was seeing RC in Times Square while shooting.  What an all around nice, down to earth fellow.  It was great once again letting him know what a great inspiration he has been to me and how much I have learned from him.  Check out his latest HDR book it’s chuck full of nuts of good images, processing techniques and downloadable presets available here.
